The Orange Youth Academy is a Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Non-Secure Residential Program for 57 males (ages 12-21) who have been committed through juvenile court.  The academic focus of this program parallels the traditional school curriculum. Students are delinquent adolescent boys requiring rehabilitation. Students are committed to this program for a period of six to twelve months.  The ultimate goal of this program is to reduce recidivism and to improve the youth’s quality of life once he re-enters the community.
